RN - Tele Float Pool Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• Every other weekend requirement

• Float between multiple units including Med Surg Tele and PCU across both campuses and inpatients holding in ED

• Nurse-to-patient ratios: PCU 1:4, Med Surg Tele 1:5-6

• Must pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts with 80% score prior to signing contract

• At least 1 year PCU setting experience required

• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin

• Required to interpret telemetry strips

• Work with geriatric patients, ortho patients, post-procedural cardiac patients, post MI, post Cardiac Cath, and CABG post-op patients

• Unit assignments notified 2 hours prior to shift start via text message

• Travel between campuses (20-25 minutes distance)

• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS

• Dress code:
Solid color professional scrubs (changing to Navy scrubs in October)

• Charting system:
Cerner

• 8-hour general hospital orientation plus 12-hour shifts at West Med Tele and PCU

• Work with respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and Heated High Flow

• No call or standby requirements

• Schedule published 6 weeks out for 4 weeks at a time
