About the Opportunity

The Clinical Director oversees the Wellness department, ensuring a safe, homelike environment that promotes residents’ health and function. This role involves leading a motivated team, managing resident health, collaborating with care providers, and stepping in as Acting Executive Director when needed.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures compliance with Resident Rights, HIPAA policies, and all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Establishes a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for residents, employees, families, and guests.
  • Conducts orientation and welcoming processes for new residents and new team members.
  • Hires, trains, supervises, and mentors the Wellness team.
  • Promotes teamwork, wellness philosophy, open communication, and collaborative problem‑solving; leads by example.
  • Protects resident and employee safety by identifying and responding to risks, reporting incidents per policy and state laws.
  • Ensures infection control guidelines, tracking, and surveillance procedures are followed.
  • Maintains staff levels that meet program and clinical needs based on resident acuity, regulations, and budget.
  • Conducts regular in‑service and team meetings.
Critical Success Factors
  • Current active nursing degree, valid in state of employment.
  • Valid license/certification required by regulatory bodies governing the community.
  • Minimum one year experience in assisted living or health care.
  • Prior supervisory and leadership experience in a health‑care environment strongly preferred.
  • Current CPR certification as required by regulatory bodies governing the community.
  • Any other state‑specific certifications required by regulatory bodies governing the community.
