Asphalt Plant Operator

Fann Contracting, Inc - Northern Arizona’s leading heavy-civil and heavy-highway contractor is searching for aHot Mix Asphalt Plant Operatorto join our team for local and statewide projects! This role requires strong mechanical/electrical skills, heavy equipment experience, and knowledge of asphalt materials and mix design.

• Minimum of 3 or more years operating a hot mix plant is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.

• Experience with computerized hot plant controls & systems.
• Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting ability
• Ability to work day/night shifts with overtime
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors in all weather
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical labor
• Must be safety-focused and reliable

• Operate and monitor hot mix asphalt plant controls
• Lead and train a crew of up to 4 employees
• Maintain safe plant operations, perform inspections, and complete repairs
• Operate loaders, skid steers, forklifts, cranes, and related heavy equipment
• Manage material orders, mix designs, batching, and load-out systems
• Complete daily reports, logs, and production records
• Work closely with Quality Control to meet mix specifications
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and all safety requirements
