Mechanic – Presque Isle, Maine

Aroostook Trusses, Inc. is looking for a Mechanic to join our team in Presque Isle, Maine. This role will perform a variety of duties, including inspection, servicing, and maintaining a fleet of trucks, passenger vehicles, trailers, hydraulics and support equipment used throughout a manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be comfortable working in a fast‑paced, industrial setting.

Employees must be able to work independently, but also contribute and cooperate well on team‑based projects.

• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on trucks and industrial equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Clean, lubricate and service vehicles per manufacturer and company standards.
• Support diagnostic efforts and collaborate with other mechanics on complex repairs.
• Track and report damaged or faulty equipment.
• Request replacement parts as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized work area.
• Perform other relevant duties as requested.

A high school diploma or equivalent education is required, as well as two or more years of experience working as a heavy equipment mechanic or similar role. Formal mechanical education, training, and/or ASE certification is strongly preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well independently and within a team.

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
