The Central Primary Care team are looking for an experienced, organised and enthusiastic Administration/Clerical Support Officer/Departmental Receptionist to work in our Health Board managed GP Practice Healthy Prestatyn Iach, Prestatyn
Previous experience of working within a GP Practice would be beneficial and knowledge of the EMIS clinical system is desirable, however training can be given. The demands of a GP practice can change on a daily basis and therefore this role will be challenging.
The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be booking appointments and dealing with patient queries, over the phone and face to face, ordering and printing repeat prescriptions, therefore excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner is required.
Proficient IT skills (including experience of Microsoft office) is also required as the post holder will also be undertaking a variety of administrative duties, scanning, summarising, workflow and private patient income work, all to assist in the smooth day to day running of the practices.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a healthcare setting or a customer service environment but full training can be given to the right candidate.
The post holder will also be expected to work at other Healthy Prestatyn Iach sites in the area.

- Evidence of continuous ongoing learning
- NVQ Customer Service L3
- Data inputting
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Previous experience in Customer services
- General understanding of the way the NHS functions
- Communication skills, concise accurate, grammatically correct
- Previous experience using EMIS and other NHS systems
