As an Accounts Senior, you’ll be a key member of our Preston team. You’ll work closely with managers, partners, and clients, taking ownership of your work while supporting the development of junior colleagues. We will help you learn and grow, in a general practice environment, where you will be involved in a wide range of clients and work to help support the next step in your career.
What you’ll be doing- Produce year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies in accordance with the relevant accounting standards
- Produce draft computations for clients
- Liaise with clients to resolve any queries
- Complete all assignments within the allocated budget and on time
- Review work undertaken by junior staff
- Provide assistance in the development of junior staff
- Assist in managing outsourced departments
- Prepare schedules for Tax returns
- Complete VAT & MTD for Income Tax returns where required
- Provide software training and support to clients
- Provide assistance to the managers of the department
- ACA/ACCA qualified or currently studying toward qualification or qualified by experience
- Solid general practice experience
- Strong IT skills and familiarity, ideally with experience in Xero and Iris
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to manage your own workload and work effectively as part of a team
- Highly organised, proactive, and committed to delivering quality work
