The firm continues to invest in both its people and technology and is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Accountant to manage a varied portfolio of clients while supporting the development of junior team members.
If you're looking for greater client exposure, more autonomy and a clear route for progression, this role offers an excellent platform to take the next step in your career.The RoleWorking closely with Managers and Directors, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio while delivering a high standard of accounts and business advisory services.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
- Preparing corporation tax computations and returns
- Preparing and reviewing management accounts
- Acting as the main point of contact for a portfolio of owner-managed businesses
- Providing proactive accounting and business advice to clients
- Supporting clients with cloud accounting software including Xero and Quick Books
- Reviewing work completed by junior team members
- Coaching and mentoring trainees and Semi Seniors
- Managing workflow to ensure client deadlines are consistently achieved
- Identifying opportunities to introduce additional services and add value to clients
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
- Strong experience within UK accountancy practice
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients
- Excellent technical knowledge of UK accounting standards
- Experience reviewing work and supporting junior staff
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Good working knowledge of cloud accounting software
