Management Accountant
Location: Preston
Salary: Up to £60,000
Contract: Permanent
An established, listed financial services organisation is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join its growing Group Finance team.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will take ownership of management accounting and reporting activities while supporting a range of financial control, statutory reporting and process-improvement projects.
Key responsibilities
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts and reporting packs
- Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and balance-sheet reconciliations
- Deliver clear management information to Finance Directors and senior stakeholders
- Support month-end and year-end close
- Assist with statutory accounts, plc reporting and external audit requirements
- Maintain strong financial controls and documented accounting processes
- Work collaboratively with finance teams across the wider Group
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, systems and finance processes
- Support wider projects and ad hoc analysis as required
About you
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Strong management accounting and month-end experience
- Confident preparing and presenting financial information
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong controls mindset
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders
- Able to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with in financial services, insurance or a listed organisation would be advantageous but is not essential
