MPS Production Officer | Full time | Digital Com Mail, Print & Scan | Preston Lancashire
We have an exciting opportunity within the Mail, Print and Scan service (MPS) for a Production Officer. MPS provides an essential service for Lancashire County Council, ensuring mail, print and scanning are managed effectively. The service is also key to supporting the council's digital strategy assisting services to work electronically where possible.
Salary: £25,185 - £25,989 per annum | 37 hours per week | Permanent, Full time | Digital Com Mail, Print & Scan | Preston Lancashire.
Responsibilities- Utilise a range of technical applications to review, amend and finalise documentation for print/distribution.
- Utilise specialist equipment relating to mail, print and scanning, ensuring the highest level of accuracy.
- Work within the team to ensure that accurate records are maintained, deadlines are met and support the cross‑training initiative with other staff members as required.
Excellent customer service skills, primarily in a front‑facing reception area; excellent time‑keeping and attendance records; experience of working in a fast‑paced environment with the ability to learn and retain information efficiently; comfortable with learning and using specialised equipment and various software applications, including all Microsoft Office applications; strong prioritisation skills and the ability to work to deadlines; ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
strong manual handling skills, as the role involves moving parcels and packages safely. Good timekeeping and attendance records.
The successful candidate will join a team working on a rota schedule covering the hours of 8am – 5pm, which offers some flexibility.
