Bid Manager, Business

Overview

This Bid Manager role is responsible for leading the full tendering and bid submission process within a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment. You will coordinate with commercial, engineering, and delivery teams to develop high-quality, compliant, and commercially competitive proposals while driving continuous improvement and supporting business growth. This position is ideal for an experienced Bid Manager, Senior Bid Coordinator, or Tender Manager with a background in engineering, manufacturing, defence, or other highly regulated industries.

• Lead and manage the end-to-end tender and bid submission process from opportunity through to handover.
• Coordinate engineering, commercial, and project delivery teams to develop high-quality, compliant proposals.
• Review technical and commercial submissions to maximise competitiveness and profitability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Bid Team while driving continuous improvement across bid processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support future business opportunities.

£45,000 - £55,000 per annum

• 4-day working week (Monday to Thursday)
