St Matthew's Church of England Primary Academy are seeking to appoint a Business Operations Manager who will play a key role in supporting the academy’s strategic and operational objectives by ensuring administrative, site, ICT and financial systems are efficient, compliant and responsive to need. The postholder will contribute towards strong organisational practice, support senior leaders in meeting statutory and Trust requirements, and help maintain effective communication, data management and service delivery across the school.
The role supports continuous improvement by promoting consistency, accuracy and professionalism in all administrative functions, both within the academy and, where required, across the Trust.
This role is vital in providing the Trust with assurance at a local Academy level that all appropriate business and operations functions are being delivered in a compliant and statutory manner. Whilst reporting directly to the Headteacher, this role will work closely with Trust officers and the wider School Business Professionals team to ensure the Trust's statutory requirements, and strategic objectives are being met at a local level, while identifying opportunities for improvement.
The ideal candidate will be personable and engaging, use initiative, be flexible, and possess good customer service, ICT and communication skills. The role requires someone well‑organised, efficient, flexible, calm, friendly, motivated and passionate about providing an excellent support service to our children, staff and visitors. Training will be given to the right candidate but good IT skills, particularly with Google Docs/Sheets, and knowledge of SIMS would be an advantage.
