Project Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor
Location:
Preston, Lancashire | Salary/Package: £46,000 – £58,000 + excellent benefits
- Managing the commercial delivery of construction projects from contract award through to final account
- Preparing and submitting valuations, applications for payment, variations, and final accounts
- Procuring and managing subcontractor packages
- Producing accurate CVRs, cost forecasts, and commercial reports
- Monitoring project costs to maximise profitability and commercial performance
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Administering contracts and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
- Working closely with Project Managers and site teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Supporting the Commercial Manager with reporting and strategic commercial decisions
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor within a Main Contractor environment
- Experience delivering projects across sectors such as education, healthcare, commercial, industrial, residential, or public sector developments
- Strong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Excellent commercial awareness and contractual knowledge
- Experience managing projects through the full commercial lifecycle
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Membership of RICS or working towards chartered status would be advantageous
- Competitive basic salary of £46,000 – £58,000
