A well-established regional contractor is seeking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a prestigious residential development in Preston. This Assistant Quantity Surveyor position will be based full-time on a residential construction project in Preston. You will be joining an established commercial team consisting of a Senior Quantity Surveyor and a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, providing an excellent opportunity to further develop your commercial skills and progress your career.

Working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will assist with the day-to-day commercial management of the project, supporting cost control, subcontractor management and commercial reporting throughout the construction programme.

• Minimum 12 to 18 months' experience within the construction sector.
• Main Contractor experience preferred, but candidates from other construction backgrounds will be considered.
• Residential sector experience advantageous but not essential.
• HNC, HND or Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.

• Salary between £40,000 and £45,000 depending on experience.
