An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Civils Estimator to join a highly respected Tier One contractor delivering a strong pipeline of major water infrastructure projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an estimator who wants to be part of a forward-thinking business with long-term workload security, excellent future opportunities, and involvement in some of the industry's most important infrastructure schemes.

Starting on a freelance basis at £500 per day, this role offers the added benefit of a strong likelihood of moving into a permanent position for the right person.

You will play a key role in developing accurate, competitive estimates for self-delivered civil engineering projects, working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are commercially viable and deliverable.

This is a hands-on estimating position suited to someone who enjoys getting involved at an early stage, visiting sites, understanding construction methodologies, and producing robust first-principles estimates.

• Produce detailed first-principles estimates for civil engineering and water infrastructure projects.
• Undertake site visits to understand scope, buildability, constraints, and project requirements.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to develop accurate pricing.
• Work collaboratively with delivery teams to ensure estimates reflect practical construction solutions.
• Support the business in securing future projects through high-quality commercial submissions.

• Significant experience as a Civils Estimator within the construction industry.
• Proven experience pricing water infrastructure projects (essential).
• Around 15 years' experience within construction, with exposure to civil engineering and ideally some build background.
• Strong first-principles estimating capability.
• Confidence interpreting drawings, specifications, and construction requirements.
• A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
