Rate: £40.00 Paye or £53.90 Umbrella inside IR35
Overview
BAE Systems are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to play a key role in delivering high-value construction and infrastructure procurement programmes. This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to make an immediate impact.
Clearance requirement:
Eligible for SC clearance and UK eyes only
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of high-value construction and infrastructure tender frameworks.
Manage day-to-day procurement and ITT activities from development through to contract award.
Develop and maintain tender documentation aligned with agreed procurement strategies.
Create tender evaluation and assessment criteria in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Establish KPI-driven incentive mechanisms that deliver successful project outcomes.
Ensure compliance with procurement governance, tender processes, and commercial protocols.
Key Skills
Experience delivering high-value procurement or tendering activities.
Knowledge of UK construction and infrastructure supply chains.
Experience procuring and managing high-value NEC contracts.
Understanding of commercial terms within construction and infrastructure projects.
Experience in Supplier Relationship Management throughout the tender process.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within changing and sometimes ambiguous project environments.
Collaborative, professional, and proactive approach.
