Job Title: Site Manager - Civils

Location: Preston

Salary: 250- 270 per day

Role Highlights & Packages:

  • Crane lift training/tickets will be provided where required

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a civils project commencing on 14th September.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the site, including managing a team of 40-50 operatives, completing site paperwork, and ensuring CDM compliance as Principal Contractor (PC).

The role will also involve overseeing crane lifts and the movement of materials onto site, as well as ensuring the site is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, organisation and safety.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Site Manager within civils
  • Strong understanding of CDM regulations and Principal Contractor responsibilities
  • Experience managing a workforce of 40-50 operatives
  • Confident overseeing crane lifts and material movements
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a tidy, safe and well-run site
  • Crane lift tickets are not essential as these will be provided

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the civils site
  • Oversee and coordinate 40-50 operatives
  • Manage site paperwork and documentation
  • Ensure CDM requirements are adhered to as Principal Contractor
  • Oversee crane lifts and material deliveries into site
  • Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries and site activities
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety
  • Ensure the site remains clean, tidy and well organised
  • Liaise with the wider project team to ensure works are delivered efficiently and safely
