JOB SUMMARY### Overview Working within Aureos’ Energy Business Unit, and forming a part of the Commercial team, the Quantity Surveyor plays an integral part in delivering exceptional commercial results. Core responsibilities encompass project delivery, commercial reporting and maximising profit.

With sustainable growth in mind, our Quantity Surveyor is responsible for completing and maintaining well organised records, contribution to the timely production of applications for payment  and accurate project reporting. They should be capable of managing all commercial aspects of a project from award to project closeout

Duties

Primary tasks and duties:

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will assist the commercial team in providing support to the contract delivery team to ensure the profitability, cash management, cost control and accurate reporting of all schemes.

Your role will require you to:
* Maximisation of income through sound advice and decision making
* Management and execution of the change control system
* Management of project risk
* Production of CVRs
* Produce accurate costs and forecasts
* Management of the full sub-contract cycle
* Competently review and administer contracts
* Provision of general commercial advice to Project Team
* Input into the development of team spirit and trustworthiness within Project Commercial Team and with Client and S/C
* Input into the management of dispute resolution
* Produce weekly cost to complete/budget reviews with the contract delivery teams.
* Upload documentation as and when necessary, in line with business requirements
* Review weekly site records including allocation sheets and site diaries.
* Attend project progress meetings.
* Challenge project team and provide valuable contribution to the project.
* Good understanding of works scope and programme
* Preparation of monthly financial performance reports
* Gain experience outside of the commercial function to better understand the role of the business and the quantity surveyor within the business.
