We're looking for a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of our developments. Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, working closely with site, technical and commercial teams, you'll be responsible for managing costs, maximising value, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance.

• Take ownership of project costs, budgets and cash flow, ensuring developments stay on track and deliver maximum value.
• Manage and monitor cost movements, variations and financial performance across multiple sites and plots.
• Procure subcontractors and materials, negotiating the best commercial terms while maintaining quality and programme targets.
• Produce accurate and timely CVR reports, providing clear commercial insight and financial forecasting.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities, challenge spend and support operational teams to mitigate potential overspends.
• Assess, price and manage customer extras, ensuring accurate costing and timely processing.
• Collaborate with site, technical and wider business teams to drive performance and achieve company objectives.
• Attend project and team meetings, providing expert commercial advice and contributing to key business decisions.
• Champion health, safety, wellbeing and environmental standards, helping to create a safe and compliant working environment.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and support the smooth running of day-to-day administrative activities.

• Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial role, with a strong understanding of cost management and financial control.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• A commercial mindset with a keen eye for identifying opportunities to drive value and improve profitability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to challenge costs and influence decision‑making.
• The ability to manage multiple developments and competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• A collaborative approach, working effectively with colleagues across departments to achieve shared goals.
• Strong communication and reporting skills, with the ability to present commercial information clearly and accurately.
