Competitive rate of pay ranging from: £14.30-£15 per hour dependant upon experience.

A welcoming and supportive primary school in the Garstang area is looking to appoint a dedicated Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team from 13th April 2026.

This role will involve providing general classroom support as the main Teaching Assistant within a Year 3 class, working closely with the class teacher to help deliver engaging learning activities and support pupils throughout the school day. The school is looking for someone who is confident, reliable and able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

The Role

Providing general classroom support as the main TA within a Year 3 classroom

Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities

Assisting pupils with their learning both individually and in small groups

Helping to create a positive, organised and inclusive learning environment

Confidently communicating with the class teacher, pupils and parents when required

Working Hours

Monday to Friday

8:45am – 3:00pm

Term time only

The Ideal Candidate

Holds a childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification

Has previous experience supporting within a primary classroom

Is confident communicating with teachers, pupils and parents

Is proactive, patient and supportive in helping children reach their potential

Is interested in potentially securing a permanent Teaching Assistant role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
