The successful SEN Teacher will:
- Teach small classes of pupils with a range of needs, including ASC
, MLD
, SLD
, SEMH and communication difficulties
. - Deliver creative
, differentiated lessons that engage learners at all ability levels. - Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants
, therapists and senior leaders. - Create a safe
, structured and positive learning environment
. - Monitor progress and keep accurate records in line with school policy.
- Use a therapeutic
, trauma-informed and child-centred approach.
- A welcoming, inclusive SEN school in Preston with a highly supportive leadership team.
- Excellent specialist facilities designed for pupils with additional needs.
- Strong emphasis on teamwork
, well‑being and professional development

- QTS or QTLS
. - Experience working in an SEN setting or with pupils with additional learning needs
. - A calm
, patient and proactive teaching style. - Strong behaviour management and ability to adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
