About the Role
Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in the PR3 area from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience to secure a long‑term role within a welcoming and inclusive school that prioritises pupil wellbeing and tailored support.
As an SEN TA, you will provide 1:1 support and small group intervention for pupils with additional needs, helping them to engage in learning and make progress both academically and socially.
Pupils Supported- Autism (ASD)
- ADHD
- Speech and Language needs
- Moderate Learning Difficulties
- Deliver tailored SEN support on a 1:1 basis
- Support pupils with EHCPs and personalised learning plans
- Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Previous experience working with SEN children or young people
- Background in education, care, support work, or similar
- Patient, resilient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
- Starting pay from £14.25 per hour (increasing depending on experience)
- Long‑term opportunity with potential for a permanent school contract
