Year 1 Teaching Assistant

Overview

REED / Lancashire Teaching Agency (LTA) are currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Preston from September.

This is a long-term position, working 8:30am - 3:25pm, Monday to Friday, supporting within a Year 1 classroom.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils' learning and development, delivering targeted support where required and helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

• Support teaching and learning within a Year 1 classroom
• Assist pupils with both individual and group activities
• Work alongside the class teacher to promote pupil progress
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Support pupils  social, emotional, and academic development

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school
• KS1 experience is preferred
• A positive, patient, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Full-time role with a September start
