Teaching Assistant - Afternoons & After School Club

Position: Teaching Assistant / After School Club Assistant (Temporary)
Hours: 5 afternoons per week plus 2 after-school club sessions until 5:30pm Start Date: September 2026 Duration: Minimum until October half-term

The Role: A friendly primary school is looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils during afternoon sessions, with additional responsibility for supervising two after-school club sessions each week until 5:30pm.

Key Responsibilities

Support teaching and learning throughout the afternoon
Work with individuals and small groups to enhance learning outcomes
Help maintain a safe, positive and engaging classroom environment
Assist with planning and delivery of after-school activities
Supervise pupils attending after-school club sessions

Requirements

Experience supporting children in a school or childcare setting
Enthusiastic and proactive approach to pupil engagement
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Flexibility to support after-school provision until 5:30pm on designated days
Relevant TA qualification desirable but not essential
