OverviewWe are looking for a motivated and passionate individual to join us as part of our team in Autumn term 2026. The successful candidate will work on a full-time basis on a fixed-term contract until 31st August 2027 (reviewed based on business needs and budget considerations). The position is part-time, term-time only; the salary quoted is full-time equivalent and will be paid pro-rata.
Our Teaching Assistants make a real difference to the lives of our children by providing high-quality care and exceptional support for learning activities. They work closely with Classroom Teachers to secure an outstanding education and learning experience, assisting with behaviour management, learning activities, liaising with families and recording pupil progress. They also deliver high-quality care, support programmes, interventions and therapies (including feeding, intimate care, physical health and behaviour), ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing needs of children are met, enabling learning.
EssentialQualifications
- NVQ level 2 or above in Teaching Assistant, Childcare – appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
- First Aid
- Safeguarding
- Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age – EYFS and KS1.
- Experience of working in a relevant classroom environment.
- Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and those with SEND.
- Experience of administrative work.
- Knowledge of classroom roles and responsibilities.
