Specialist SEN School – Preston – Full‑time – Up to £600 per week.

We are looking for a graduate to support pupils aged 11‑16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated behavioural challenges. In this role you will deliver 1:1 and small‑group support to help students access learning and develop more positive behaviours.

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant you will work alongside teaching staff to manage challenging behaviour through structured and consistent strategies. Your responsibilities include helping pupils regulate their emotions, rebuilding engagement with education and growing in confidence within a supportive setting. Building strong relationships, acting as a positive role model, providing stability, encouragement and clear boundaries for pupils will be essential.

• Up to £600 per week
• Full‑time, long‑term role
• Immediate or September start available
• Specialist training in SEMH and behaviour management
• Excellent experience for future careers in education, psychology or related fields

• Graduate (2:1 or above preferred; Psychology desirable)
• Resilient, confident and comfortable managing challenging behaviour
• Experience in SEN, youth work, sports coaching or care highly desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for supporting vulnerable young people
