Arboriculture Lecturer (Full Training into Teaching)
£27,000 - £35,500 plus compulsory teacher training and qualifications, 42 days annual leave, bank holidays, teachers' pension, progression and other benefits. Site based, commutable from Preston, Blackburn, Chorley, Leyland, Garstang, Blackpool, Lancaster and surrounding areas.
Are you a qualified Arborist looking to step off the tools and move into a teaching role where you can help develop the next generation of Arboriculture professionals? This is an excellent chance to join a leading land‑based college as a trainee or self‑qualified lecturer, with compulsory teaching qualification support if needed. You will use your hands‑on industry experience to inspire learners, deliver compulsory knowledge and skills, and help students progress to recognised qualifications and into the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver practical and theory lessons within the Arboriculture programmes.
- Support learners through tutorials, progress reviews and mandatory progress planning.
- Judge and record student progress using mandatory digital systems.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, improvement processes and improve employer relations so training remains aligned with the sector.
Qualifications:
- Must hold Level 3 qualification in Arboriculture and mandatory NPTC tick‑records.
- Strong industry experience in arboriculture.
- Willingness and commitment to move into teaching and to support learner success.
- Geographically within commuting distance of Preston.
