Position

SEND Teaching Assistant – Preston. A specialist school in Preston is recruiting for a long‑term SEND Teaching Assistant to support students aged 2‑19.

Role

Monday‑Friday, 8:30am‑3:30pm. Pay: £89‑95 per day depending on experience. The role is available 4 or 5 days per week (depending on availability) and involves supporting students with a range of complex needs, including ASD, SEMH, anxiety, behavioural needs, and MLD/SLD. Support will be matched to your experience and strengths.

Responsibilities
  • Provide in‑class and individual SEND support to students of varied ages
  • Support learning, engagement, and behaviour
  • Work closely with teaching staff and the SEND team
  • Support students’ independence and wellbeing
Requirements
  • Proven experience working with children or adults with additional needs
  • Confident supporting students with complex and varied SEND needs
  • Patient, adaptable, and reliable
Additional Information
  • Days: 4 or 5 days per week (preference‑based)
  • Contract:

    Long‑term or short‑term available
