Exciting Opportunity for SEN Teaching Assistant in Longridge, Preston (PR3) - Full-Time, Long-Term Position!

We are thrilled to announce a rewarding long-term position for a qualified and experienced teaching assistant with a background in supporting individuals with special educational needs. This role is based at an Ofsted graded 'GOOD' primary school in Longridge, Preston (PR3), starting from September 2026.

Role Overview:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will have the privilege of working one-to-one with a Year 3 pupil with Autism, providing essential support to help them access the school curriculum through personalized approaches. In addition to academic assistance, your role will involve employing strong behaviour management techniques to ensure a positive and conducive learning environment for the pupil.

School Environment:
The school boasts excellent public transport links and provides a secure car park for staff convenience. It is situated in an area with below-average deprivation, and the percentage of pupils accessing Pupil Premium is also lower than average.   • Proven experience providing support within a primary school setting.
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with special educational needs.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships within a school environment.
  • Willingness to attend staff meetings and participate in CPD opportunities (twilights).
  • Experience working with children's behaviour in a primary school setting.
