Working with pupils with a range of additional needs, you'll create engaging, personalised and meaningful learning experiences that build confidence, independence, resilience and a genuine love of learning.

You'll recognise every child's strengths, celebrate every achievement and adapt your teaching to help each pupil reach their full potential. This is much more than a teaching role, it's an opportunity to help shape a school from the very beginning. As a valued member of our founding team, you'll play a key role in developing our curriculum, influencing our culture and creating an inclusive environment where every young person feels safe, supported and empowered to succeed.

Working collaboratively with a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you'll combine your expertise with the knowledge of therapists, support staff and families to deliver outstanding outcomes for every pupil. No two days will ever be the same, but every day will bring new opportunities to inspire, make a lasting impact and change lives through education. What You'll Be Doing Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire pupils and support excellent progress.

Adapt teaching to meet the individual needs of learners with a range of additional and complex needs. Plan, develop and review schemes of learning across your curriculum area. Monitor pupil progress, using assessment to identify interventions and celebrate achievement. Lead the development of your subject area, ensuring teaching remains creative, innovative and engaging. Work collaboratively with colleagues across Avonside School and the wider Outcomes First Group to share best practice and develop the curriculum.

Support colleagues through training and sharing effective teaching strategies within your subject specialism. Work closely with the Exams Officer to ensure accurate qualification entries and successful outcomes. Teach across a range of subjects where required to support the effective delivery of the school's curriculum.
