Salary: M3 - UPS (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Preston is seeking an experienced and passionate SEND Teacher to join their dedicated team from September 2026
.

This is a full-time role within the school’s specialist provision, supporting pupils from EYFS to Year 2 who present with a range of additional needs
, with a significant focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The successful candidate will lead tailored teaching and interventions, ensuring all learners are supported, challenged, and celebrated.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, deliver and assess high-quality, individualised teaching for pupils with SEND, primarily ASD.
  • Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing classroom environment that promotes engagement and learning.
  • Work closely with support staff, external agencies, and families to ensure consistent and effective provision.
  • Contribute to EHCP reviews and maintain detailed records of progress and support strategies.
  • Foster positive relationships and encourage independence, communication, and social development.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching in a primary setting, ideally across EYFS to KS1.
  • A strong background in supporting pupils with SEND, particularly those with ASD.
  • Excellent knowledge of adaptive teaching strategies and early childhood development.
  • A nurturing, flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a collaborative, supportive team.
