About the role:
Justteachers is seeking a Secondary Teaching Assistant, who is looking for a long term role in a Secondary school in the Longridge area on a full time basis. The role is set to commence in September 2026, with shortlisting currently underway.
A high performing secondary school known for inclusive practice and strong results. The leadership team prioritises staff support and creates a positive working culture throughout the school.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Support EHCP targets in lessons
- Adapt resources for individual needs
- Deliver small group interventions
- Manage behaviour using tailored strategies
- Liaise with SENCO and teachers daily
- Record progress against SEND plans
- Provide 1:1 support where required
- Assist with personal care if needed
- Promote pupil independence in class
- Support emotional regulation strategies
Pre-requisites:
- UK school experience essential
- Experience supporting SEND pupils
- Understanding of EHCPs and interventions
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
