Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Compressed Air Field Service Engineer to perform maintenance, breakdown, and commissioning on all makes of compressed air equipment, primarily covering the north west of England with some travel and overnight stays.
Responsibilities- Attend customer sites to perform breakdown repairs on compressed air generating equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on compressed air generating equipment.
- Maintain verbal and written communications with customers and others professionally.
- Liaise with technical or office‑based personnel to understand job requirements.
- Liaise with customers to ensure work is done with their approval.
- Operate in accordance with company EHS guidelines.
- Minimum HNC level in Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation or Electromechanical discipline.
- Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical/mechanical systems.
- Extensive product knowledge within the compressed air industry.
- PC literate.
- Full driving licence.
- Field based role operating out of Preston office.
- Willing to travel extensively within north west England with overnight stays as required.
- Willing to travel on short notice.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the compressed air industry.
- Ability to work alone with balanced judgement.
- Commercial awareness.
- Ability to communicate well and deal with others.
- Must be customer‑centric.
