Manufacturing Improvements Engineer

Our client BAE Systems, operating within the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking an Improvement Engineering Lead to join their team in Samlesbury. This contract role, operating inside IR35, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a prestigious project within the aerospace sector. Please note, you will need to hold Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK before application.

• Leading and managing engineering improvement projects within the manufacturing domain
• Developing and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency and productivity
• Identifying and analysing performance bottlenecks, proposing innovative solutions to address them
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements within the Defence & Security sector
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Providing technical expertise and guidance to team members and stakeholders
• Preparing detailed reports and presentations on project progress and outcomes
• Ensuring timely delivery of project milestones and objectives

• Experience in an engineering role within the manufacturing industry, preferably within Defence & Security or aerospace
• Proven ability to lead and manage projects, driving operational improvements
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to propose innovative solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Capability to work full-time on-site in Samlesbury
• Relevant engineering qualifications or equivalent experience
