Senior Support Worker - Children

We are offering a rewarding opportunity for a Senior Support Worker to join a dedicated team committed to supporting young people with emotional and social difficulties.
This role provides the chance to make a real difference to children and young people in a residential setting. The successful candidate will work as a senior member of the residential team, providing high-quality care in line with industry standards such as NVQ, Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or an equivalent qualification.
Key responsibilities include:
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in the home.
- Supporting the team and working closely with the registered manager to deliver the best care possible.
- Applying a person-centred, therapeutic approach to support young people's development.
- Leading and inspiring a team of support workers to ensure consistency and high standards of care.
- Working flexibly across shifts, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-in duties on a rota system.
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
What we look for:
- Minimum of 18 months of experience working in residential childcare.
- Full driving licence is essential.
- Proven ability to interact effectively with young people and team members.
- Experience working with children displaying challenging behaviours.
- Confidence to lead and support a team of support workers.
- Ability to maintain consistency and provide stable support to young people.
