This role provides the chance to make a real difference to children and young people in a residential setting. The successful candidate will work as a senior member of the residential team, providing high-quality care in line with industry standards such as NVQ, Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or an equivalent qualification.

Key responsibilities include:

• Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in the home.
• Supporting the team and working closely with the registered manager to deliver the best care possible.
• Applying a person-centred, therapeutic approach to support young people's development.
• Leading and inspiring a team of support workers to ensure consistency and high standards of care.
• Working flexibly across shifts, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-in duties on a rota system.
• Ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.

What we look for:

• Minimum of 18 months of experience working in residential childcare.
• Full driving licence is essential.
• Proven ability to interact effectively with young people and team members.
• Experience working with children displaying challenging behaviours.
• Confidence to lead and support a team of support workers.
• Ability to maintain consistency and provide stable support to young people.
