Carer

We are recruiting an experienced, personable and professional Companion Carer to support a private client living at home in Preston following a stroke

This is a companionship-led role where personality and communication style are just as important as care experience. Previous care arrangements have not been successful due to personality mismatch, so we are seeking someone who can build natural rapport and provide consistent, engaging support.

About the Client

• Full mental capacity

• Limited use of right arm following stroke

• Slow mobilisation / fall risk

• Values conversation, outings and meaningful interaction

Duties Include

• Companionship and social interaction

• Meal preparation

• Accompanying to community outings and appointments

• Mobility support and fall awareness

• Encouraging independence in a respectful manner

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience as a Carer, Care Assistant or Support Worker

• Experience supporting stroke recovery or mobility needs (desirable)

• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

• Fluent English with strong communication skills

• Professional presentation and reliability

• Warm, mature and emotionally intelligent approach
