Day Support Worker
Mental Health Rehabilitation – The Hamptons
Bamber Bridge, Preston
Part‑Time Day Shifts – 19.25 hours per week on average (monthly contract 77hrs)
£13.45 per hour, with overtime paid at £14.95 per hour

Hours:

Part‑Time– 77 Hours Per Month- 0
7:45am – 19:45pm shifts

  • Week 2: Saturday & Sunday
  • Week 3: Friday
  • Week 4: Monday & Tuesday

Brookhaven and our male only inpatient hospital,
The Hamptons
, in Bamber Bridge on a part‑time basis totalling 77 hours per month.

Brookhaven provides a safe and supportive home for males and females with enduring mental health needs, whilst The Hamptons provides a specialist therapeutic, recovery-focused in‑patient care environment for men with complex mental health needs. We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to OUTSTANDING person‑centred, therapeutic, recovery-focused care.

As a Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide person‑centred care in a rehabilitation setting.
  • Help residents develop independent living skills and achieve personal goals.
  • Support residents with meaningful daily activities and community engagement.
  • Assist with emotional, social, and practical needs.
  • Work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team to provide consistent support.
  • Promote independence, self‑confidence, and relapse prevention strategies.
  • Encourage and support access to education, employment, and leisure opportunities.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working within a mental health or rehabilitation setting is essential
    .
  • Confidence in building rapport with residents and the wider team.
  • A strong understanding of person‑centred, quality care.
  • A positive, supportive approach with a focus on recovery and inclusion.
  • Experience of working with a range of mental health diagnosis and challenging behaviour.
