Mental Health Support Worker – (Supported Living)

Clayton-le-Woods, Lancashire

Part Time Day Shifts – 27.5 Hours Per Week

Salary: £13.45 per hour, with overtime paid at £14.95 per hour

Shifts: 8am – 9pm, with 1 in 2 weeks off

About the Role

Active Pathways Ltd is looking for a compassionate Support Worker to join Brook House in Clayton-le-Woods, Lancashire. This role offers an integral part of the team, ensuring that the individuals we support can live as independently as possible.

Brook House is a 13-bed supported living service providing person-centred support for individuals with mental health needs, learning disabilities, and/or autism. With 24‑hour staffing and a passionate multi‑disciplinary team, Brook House helps residents build independence and work towards recovery.

Responsibilities
  • Support individuals on their journey to recovery through person‑centred care in a rehabilitation setting.
  • Help residents develop independent living skills and achieve personal goals.
  • Work within a multi‑disciplinary team to build positive relationships with residents.
  • Provide emotional and practical support to residents.
  • Promote engagement in meaningful activities and encourage social inclusion.
  • Assist with daily living tasks and support residents in accessing education, employment, and the community.
  • Promote independence and self‑confidence, helping residents regain control over their lives.
Experience Required
  • Experience with in a Mental Health or Rehabilitation setting.
  • Ability to build rapport with ease with residents and the wider team.
  • Understanding the importance of offering person‑centred quality care.
