Overview

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Day Shift Care Practitioner to join our team and help make a meaningful difference to the lives of our residents every day.
As a Care Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting residents to maintain their independence, dignity and wellbeing. Working alongside a caring and professional team, you will provide high-quality support tailored to individual needs while helping to create a positive and engaging home environment where residents feel valued and respected.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in accordance with individual care plans.
- Support residents with daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence and choice.
- Encourage residents to participate in social, wellbeing and recreational activities.
- Build positive and professional relationships with residents, relatives and visitors.
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report any concerns or changes appropriately.
- Support residents with nutritional, hydration and general wellbeing needs where required.
- Provide companionship, reassurance and emotional support to residents.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity and consistency of care.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment throughout the home.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, infection prevention and control policies and procedures at all times.
- Participate in mandatory training and ongoing professional development activities.
- Uphold the values and standards of Ribble Court Care Home and Sandstone Care Group.
- Support colleagues and contribute positively to a culture of teamwork, professionalism and respect.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably required to support the effective operation of the home.

Person Specification Experience- A positive outlook and a warm personality.
- A genuine interest in working in the health and social care sector. Experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Flexibility to work shift patterns according to the needs of our residents.
