Summary

As a Dispensary Pharmacy Assistant at NHS Jobs, you will play a crucial role in ensuring an efficient medicine supply service to wards, departments, and patients. Key responsibilities include dispensing medications, stock control, rotation, expiry date checking, and proficient use of the Pharmacy IT System. The role encompasses providing a responsive reception service, managing incoming work, and addressing customer inquiries. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining dispensing sundries stock and adhering to housekeeping duties for optimal environmental standards.

Supporting the training and development of the pharmacy team is an integral part of this position.

Schedule and Availability

Applications are welcome from those seeking part-time employment. The core hours of duty involve a 7.5-hour shift from 8 am to 19:30 Monday to Friday. Successful applicants should be prepared to participate in weekend and Bank holiday shifts on a rota basis.
