Department

The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a clinical psychologist to join the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience.

Position Overview

At OSUWMC, we are committed to providing compassionate, evidence‑based care. We seek to hire faculty to help build our psychosis program. The successful candidate will work within our interdisciplinary EPICENTER team caring for patients with and at‑risk for psychotic, bipolar, and related disorders. The psychologist directs or provides care consistent with the privileges granted by the governing body of University Hospitals and the Board of Trustees.

Department/Division

Overview

The successful candidates will join a 65‑member Section of Psychology. The Section offers robust training opportunities, including externship experiences, pre‑doctoral internship, and fellowship programs in the field of psychosis care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical evaluation and assessment, individual cognitive behavioral therapy, metacognitive remediation therapy, family education and support, and community education.
  • Participate in committees, conferences, professional meetings, and community speaking engagements on behalf of the program or department.
  • Practice within the established Medical Center standards of practice, mandating adherence to mandate obligations, protocols, and performance metrics.
Qualifications
  • Doctoral Degree in Psychology.
  • Licensed or license‑eligible in the state of Ohio.
  • Must hold an APA‑ or CPA‑accredited clinical or counseling psychology doctoral degree (with accredited internship) and have at least one year of post‑doctoral experience. Must be licensed in Ohio by the time of appointment.
  • Must possess the technical clinical skills and cognitive and interpersonal competencies required to serve patients receiving the above‑mandated services.
  • Preferred experience with patients with psychotic and/or bipolar disorders.
Background Check

Final candidates must complete a satisfactory background check. A mandatory drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
