Are you someone who believes that the best support starts with respect, trust and genuine relationships?

We're looking for a dedicated, compassionate and reliable Personal Assistant/Support Worker to join a small team supporting two autistic individuals in their own home. This is an opportunity to make a real difference by providing neuroaffirmative, person-centred support that empowers each person to live life on their own terms.

This role is about working with people, not doing things for them. It's about listening, learning, adapting and supporting choice every step of the way.

Who We're Looking For
  • Is methodical and observant.
  • Is a good communicator and an even better listener.
  • Assumes competence and capability in the people they support.
  • Respects body autonomy, individual choice and personal boundaries.
  • Understands the importance of advocacy and supporting meaningful participation.
  • Takes a neuroaffirmative, neurodivergent person-centred approach.
  • Appreciates the importance of sensory differences and adapts support accordingly.
  • Understands co-regulation and positive stress management.
  • Is AAC literate, or willing to learn.
  • Can look at situations from different perspectives and think creatively when solving problems.
  • Has a genuine willingness to learn and develop.
  • Is reliable, dependable and flexible.
  • Has a great sense of humour and enjoys sharing laughter.
  • Above all, we're looking for someone who sees the person first and values individuality, dignity, independence and choice.
Shared Interests
  • Horse riding
  • Climbing
  • Watching animation
  • Going to the movies
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Flexible availability, including sleep-in shifts.
  • Active, with good general fitness and health.
  • Experience supporting autistic people and/or individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Why Join Us?

This is much more than a job. It's an opportunity to become part of a small, dedicated team where your compassion, reliability and willingness to learn will make a genuine difference every day.

You'll be supporting two unique individuals, each with their own personality, strengths, communication style, interests and aspirations. We are looking for someone who will

take the time to understand each person, build meaningful relationships and provide support that is respectful, empowering and led by their choices.

If you're looking for a rewarding role where you can promote independence, celebrate individuality and provide truly person-centred, neuroaffirmative support, we'd love to hear from you.
