More about your role As our Asset & Connectivity Administrator, you will help manage our IT hardware, software, licences and peripherals throughout their lifecycle. You will maintain accurate asset records, track usage and location, support procurement and responsible disposal, monitor software licence compliance and produce reports for stakeholders. You will also work with IT security and other teams to improve processes, reduce costs and provide first-line support for connectivity incidents.

This role is based in Preston 5 days a week. At Places for People, we are committed to a safe working environment so a basic DBS check is mandatory. Essential criteria Previous experience in IT asset management or a related IT operations role. Experience using IT asset management tools or software to maintain and track asset records. Practical knowledge of software licensing, audits or compliance requirements.

Experience maintaining accurate inventories and producing asset, compliance or cost reports. Experience providing first-line support or troubleshooting IT connectivity incidents. More about you You will be organised and analytical, with a strong focus on accuracy and effective problem-solving. You will be comfortable working across teams and managing detailed records, while balancing security, compliance, cost and operational requirements. Knowledge of IT procurement, contract negotiation, data protection or ITIL would be beneficial, but it is not essential.
