Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days on site per week
Pay Rate: GBP
26.07 per hour PAYE or GBP
34.99 via umbrella (inside IR35)

We are currently recruiting for a Strategic Supply Chain Officer to join BAE Systems at their Warton site
. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supply chain professional to work within a high-profile engineering and defence environment, supporting strategic supply chain activities and helping to ensure effective supplier performance, delivery and commercial outcomes.

• Support the development and implementation of strategic supply chain plans and objectives
  .
• Manage and maintain effective relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor supplier performance, including cost, quality, delivery and risk
  .
• Identify and support opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency and continuous improvement
  .
• Analyse supply chain data and provide reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Support supplier reviews, performance improvement plans and escalation activities.
• Work collaboratively with procurement, engineering, manufacturing, quality and project teams.
• Identify potential supply chain risks and support appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Ensure supply chain activities are aligned with business requirements and contractual obligations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the wider supply chain function.

• Previous experience within supply chain, procurement, purchasing or supplier management
  .
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Good understanding of supplier performance, cost, delivery and risk management
  .
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  
  Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and other business systems
  .
• Experience with in aerospace, defence, engineering or manufacturing would be advantageous.
