Supply Planner

An established and growing manufacturing and distribution business is looking for an experienced Supply Planner to manage purchasing, supplier relationships and stock availability across a key product category.

This is a role with responsibility for ensuring products are purchased and delivered on time, stock levels are optimised and customer service levels are maintained.

• Manage purchasing and purchase orders in line with demand and forecasts.
• Forecast demand and manage stock levels and availability.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, including Far Eastern suppliers.
• Coordinate container bookings and liaise with freight forwarders.
• Monitor supplier lead times, deliveries and potential supply issues.
• Work with Marketing on new product forecasting and launches.
• Support product re-sourcing and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to improving purchasing and supply-chain processes.

We are looking for an experienced Supply Planner with:

• Experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills.
• Experience of forecasting, stock management and purchase orders.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and supplier-management skills.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently, prioritise and perform in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, commercial and solutions-focused approach.

• A salary to £35,000
