We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Laser Operative to join our well-established client based in Preston.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Laser Operator looking for stable, long-term employment, regular working hours and the opportunity to increase earnings through enhanced overtime rates.
Due to continued workload and business requirements, our client is looking for a reliable and skilled operative who can confidently work within a busy manufacturing and engineering environment.
The RoleAs a CNC Laser Operative, you will be responsible for operating CNC laser cutting machinery to produce components accurately and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Your duties will include:
- Setting and operating CNC laser cutting machines
- Loading and unloading sheet metal and other materials
- Selecting and running the correct programmes for production requirements
- Reading and interpreting engineering and technical drawings
- Checking measurements, dimensions and specifications
- Carrying out quality checks on completed components
- Identifying and reporting any defects or production issues
- Monitoring machinery during the cutting process
- Ensuring components are produced accurately and within required tolerances
- Completing production work within agreed timescales
- Following all company Health & Safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working area
- Working closely with other members of the production and engineering team
To be considered for this position, previous experience operating CNC laser cutting machinery is essential.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous CNC Laser Operator / CNC Laser Operative experience
- Be confident operating CNC laser cutting machinery
- Have experience working within an engineering, manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Be able to read and understand engineering drawings
- Have good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
- Be able to work accurately to measurements and specifications
- Be reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Be comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Have a good understanding of workplace Health & Safety
- Experience with specific CNC laser machinery or controls would be advantageous, but candidates with relevant transferable CNC laser experience are encouraged to apply
Monday to Friday
Both day and night shifts are available, offering flexibility depending on your preferred working pattern.
There are also opportunities to work additional overtime at enhanced rates, providing excellent earning potential.
