Production Operative

Production Operative Full Time Monday Thursday: 7:00 am 3:30 pm Friday: 7:00 am 1:00 pm Preston £13.26 per hour

Our client is a UK-based manufacturer and supplier of industrial laminates, composite materials and machined components.

They are focused on delivering a quality product portfolio, supported by great service, excellent response and best of all, over 155 years experience of getting it right.

The Role

They re looking for a reliable and hardworking Production Operative to join their manufacturing team, supporting the safe and efficient operation of their laminating, pressing, weighing and varnishing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Press:

• Operate presses
• Carry out trimming
• Provide press support operations, including material preparation such as cutting and steel management
• Operate and monitor ovens and control systems
• Use lifting equipment
• Carry out measurement and inspection activities

Weighing:

• Oversee, operate and action all requirements of the Weigh department

Varnishing:

• Mica Varnish
• Work within the Part Mark and Sanding work centres and carry out associated operational requirements
• Stock Control
• Measurement and Inspections

Secondary Role:

• Assist colleagues within the department when required
• Perform general housekeeping tasks
• Use the business system for production management via PC terminals
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

• Willingness to assist colleagues when required

Desirable

• Previous production experience is preferred, but not essential
