Nurse Manager- Dom Care

The Nurse Manager is responsible for supporting the safe, effective and compliant day-to-day management of Holywell Care's domiciliary care services, providing clinical leadership, operational oversight, staff supervision and high-quality person-centred care to individuals receiving care and support in their own homes.

The role combines professional nursing responsibilities with management duties, ensuring that individuals receive safe, appropriate and personalised care within their own home environment, whilst maintaining compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations, safeguarding requirements, medication management standards, health and safety legislation and organisational policies.

The Nurse Manager will provide clinical leadership and oversight of nursing interventions and regulated treatment activities, including clinical assessments and monitoring, wound care and dressings, injections, medication administration, stoma care and catheter care, where these activities fall within the organisation's registered scope of practice.

The post holder will have particular responsibility for supporting the clinical governance and delivery of Treatment of Disease, Disorder or Injury (TDDI) at the designated CQC-registered location.

The Nurse Manager will also support the Registered Manager in overseeing care planning, clinical governance, staff recruitment, training, supervision, workforce management, audits, quality assurance and the overall delivery of the domiciliary care service across all locations.

The post holder will work collaboratively with individuals, families, representatives, GPs, district nurses, community healthcare teams, pharmacists, social workers and other relevant professionals to ensure continuity of care, effective clinical treatment and positive outcomes

• Registered Nurse qualification with current and valid NMC registration.
• Experience working within domiciliary care, community nursing, a nursing home or another relevant healthcare environment.
• Previous experience in a senior position such as Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, Senior Nurse or equivalent.
• Experience undertaking clinical assessments and developing person-centred care plans.
• Experience or demonstrable competence in wound care, dressings, injections, medication administration, catheter care and stoma care.
• Strong understanding of CQC regulations and regulatory requirements for domiciliary care services.
• Understanding of the Treatment of Disease, Disorder or Injury regulated activity.
• Knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding, medication management and infection prevention and control.
• Understanding of lone working, moving and handling and risk management within individuals' homes.
• Experience supervising, supporting and managing care staff.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to coordinate and monitor care delivery across different geographical locations.
• Good IT skills and experience maintaining accurate electronic or paper-based records.
• Ability to work independently, make sound clinical decisions and respond effectively to changing circumstances.
• Ability to work flexibly to meet service requirements.
