Are you an experienced Validation professional looking to take the next step in your career within a fast‑paced, highly regulated manufacturing environment? Were supporting a growing life sciences manufacturer in Preston who are looking for an experienced Validation Officer to join its growing Quality team.

Reporting to the Validation Manager, youll play a key role in delivering the site Validation Master Plan, ensuring robust validation standards are upheld across processes, equipment, cleaning, analytical methods and new product introduction activities.

The Validation Officer will be:

  • Generating, reviewing and executing validation protocols and reports to support successful validation activities.
  • Managing process and engineering change controls to ensure validated systems remain compliant post‑change.
  • Reviewing analytical/method validation data (including chromatography outputs) to support validation decisions.
  • Conducting risk impact assessments aligned with ICH Q10 principles (including ICH Q3D).
  • Assessing process deviations, root causes and CAPAs from a validation perspective.
  • Supporting cleaning validation activities including swab recoveries, clean/dirty hold times.
  • Delivering process validation for mixing, filling and re‑validation of existing products.
  • Supporting equipment validation and lifecycle management in line with Annex 15.
  • Providing validation input for regulatory submissions and NPD/NPI projects.
  • Assisting with GMP inspection readiness and cross‑functional validation support.

The ideal candidate for the Validation Officer role, will have:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing validation role.
  • Strong understanding of Quality and Validation principles within GMP environments.
  • Degree in Science or Engineering (Analytical Chemistry background advantageous).
  • Ability to interpret technical data, manage multiple priorities and work to tight timelines.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
  • A proactive, continuous‑improvement mindset suited to a dynamic manufacturing setting.
