AboutThe Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and established company. You will work reactively across the North West, attending emergency call‑outs for United Utilities on either a JHL Recycler or a JHL City Flex. A HGV Class 2 licence is required, and experience of jetting is essential (training will be provided to a successful candidate). The position requires on‑call shifts six days a week, with one paid rest day each week.
On‑call shift hours are 16:00 PM to 02:00 AM. Applicants will be paid 70 hours per week (inclusive of the paid rest day).

Bamber Bridge, Preston.
Salary:
Base up to £49,722 per annum (dependent on experience); OTE of £50,000+ with call‑outs.
- Investigate any works that need to be conducted.
- Assess any issues and put a resolution in place.
- Use jetting machinery to conduct works ensuring the safety of the public.
- Cover works across the United Utilities network across the North West.
- Attend to customers, inform them of works to be carried out and answer any concerns as well as timescales.
- Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could hinder water flow.
- Carry out all aspects of high‑pressure water jetting.
- Operate high‑pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
- Carry out CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
- Competently use an electronic device (laptop/tablet) for data entry purposes.
- Ensure safety issues are reported in line with company procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing of high‑pressure water jetting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order.
- Previous experience working within a reactive role is desirable but not essential.
- Drainage knowledge (not essential).
- Class 2 HGV licence.
- No more than 6 points on licence.
- Able to use machinery in compliance with safety standards.
- Training will be provided.
- Overtime.
- OTE of £50,000+ per annum.
