Overview
Trauma Informed Police & Multi-Agency Trainer
Location:
Hutton Police HQ, Preston, PR4 5TJ
Contract:
3-month contract with likely extension
Hours:
22 hours per week (3 days equivalent)
Pay Rate: £16.90 PAYE per hour
To design, manage and deliver Trauma Informed training across policing and partner agencies, ensuring consistent understanding, quality delivery, and measurable coverage of the Trauma Informed Lancashire Programme during a defined 3-month period.
This role is delivery-focused. You are here to build, deliver, evaluate, and hand over, not to embed yourself long-term.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and prioritise core training needs relating to Trauma Informed Policing and Trauma Informed Lancashire.
- Design and deliver high-quality training using appropriate methods for diverse professional audiences.
- Develop, deliver and maintain:
- Lesson plans
- Learning outcomes
- Course materials and resources
- Provide expert guidance to staff and partners on learning needs and development pathways.
- Contribute to and advise on the annual training plan where required.
- Produce, analyse and communicate training data, management information and evaluation outcomes.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and adapt delivery accordingly.
- Maintain oversight of the Trauma Informed Lancashire Programme, ensuring coherence and consistency.
- Create a learner-focused, professional training environment.
- Undertake any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Trauma Informed Lancashire Programme.
- Proven experience delivering training or presentations to diverse professional audiences.
- Strong understanding of:
- Training needs analysis
- Learning assessment methods
- Performance monitoring
- Structured lesson planning
- Experience working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident communicator across individuals, groups and multi-agency settings.
- Experience handling confidential information with accuracy and discretion.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workload and deliver without close supervision.
- Working knowledge of:

- Community & Race Relations legislation
